It looks like the singer is having trouble finding a dress for the Grammys and the reason is just infuriating! Bebe Rexha took to social media to share a video in which she slammed the designers refusing to dress her just because she is not a ‘runway size.’
To be specific, the star, who is nominated in the Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance categories wears size 8, and she claims to have been fat-shamed when she looked for a dress for the awards show.
‘So I get nominated at the Grammys, finally, and it is like the coolest thing ever. And a lot of times artists go and talk to designers and they make them custom dresses to walk the red carpet. I had my team hit out many designers and a lot of them don’t want to dress me because I am too big,’ the 29 year old told her followers in the video.
She went on to say that ‘If a size 8 is too big, I don’t know what to tell you. And I do not want to wear your fu**ing dresses. You are saying all the women in the world who are a size 8 and up are not beautiful and that they can’t wear your dresses.’
It seems like this is a real issue within the fashion world since designers refused to send dresses to Megan Mullally as well, despite the fact that she was the Screen Actors Guild Awards’ host!
