Once more, Hogwarts has a new location. Due to different streaming agreements, the Harry Potter films have been switching between HBO Max and Peacock over the past few months. On November 1st, HBO Max was once more in charge. Uncertainty surrounds the length of time the movies will remain available on the Warner Bros. streaming platform, but the change coincides with the holidays, when HBO Max subscribers may enjoy a Harry Potter marathon.

The eight Harry Potter films are now available on HBO Max in a single bundle for fans. That contains:
The Sorcerer’s Stone, by Harry Potter (2001)
The Secrets in the Chamber of Harry Potter (2002)
The Prisoner of Azkaban, by Harry Potter (2004)
The Goblet of Fire by Harry Potter (2005)
Order of the Phoenix: Harry Potter (2007)
Half-Blood Prince, a Harry Potter novel (2009)
Part 1 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (2010)
Part 2 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (2011)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: Magical Movie Mode, which was released last year as part of the movie’s 20th anniversary celebrations, is also included in the bundle. This version of the first film features Chris Columbus’ commentary, along with games, facts, and other information.
But HBO Max offers much more than just that. The Wizarding World Collection, a one-stop store for Hogwarts magic superfans, has added the Harry Potter films to it as well. The collection also contains the 20th anniversary reunion special from last year including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and other Harry Potter actors, as well as the Fantastic Beasts prequel movie series.

Availability of the AdaptationA quiz game show called Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses, which aired on TBS last year, is also available to fans. Last but not least, the BBC educational show Fantastic Monsters: A Natural History, which examines numerous real and mythical beasts, is included in HBO Max’s Wizarding World Collection.
The Wizarding World Collection may only be accessed with an HBO Max subscription. The limited-ads edition is $9.99 a month, while the ad-free version is $14.99.
Therefore, HBO Max customers have all they require for a marathon of The Wizarding World. But how does one start? Thankfully, seeing the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films in chronological order is not too difficult. Start with the three Fantastic Beast movies in chronological sequence of release:
Where to Find These Fantastic Beasts (2016)
The Crimes of Grindelwald, Fantastic Beasts (2018)
Fantastic Beasts: The Dumbledore’s Secret (2022)
Then, just watch each Harry Potter film in the sequence that it was released. There should be no need to move around because each movie takes place after the one before it.

In the future, HBO Max might release additional Harry Potter-related material. A Harry Potter TV series was apparently in “early talks” at the streaming service, according to news reports from last year. In a recent interview with Variety, Sarah Aubrey, the head of originals at HBO Max, dispelled those allegations. Aubrey did, however, mention that HBO Max would be willing to increase the scope of its Harry Potter offerings.
Nothing compares to a Harry Potter fan’s insatiable thirst for narrative and novel ways to engage with these characters, according to Aubrey. We are very much in the business of developing new material for those fans and considering what to do next, so it doesn’t matter if it’s the reunion, live events, or games.
