CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mezeh Mediterranean Grill has opened its doors at Optimist Hall.
The Metro D.C.-based restaurant currently has 30 other locations throughout Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.
Menu items are made from scratch, in-house daily with a focus on using fresh, bold and high-quality ingredients that are sourced locally whenever possible. Food is prepared with 100% olive oil and halal protein and never includes hormones, preservatives or additives.
Diners can design their own bowl, flatbread wrap or pita pocket with the option to choose from cage-free, grass-fed, halal proteins such as chicken shawarma, falafel or shredded lamb, and nearly 30 fresh toppings ranging from Lebanese tabbouleh and baba ganoush to pickled turnips and sumac cucumbers. Freshly baked cookies and authentic baklava are also on the menu.
